How We Work

The doctors operate personal lists to ensure continuity and consistency of care. There is a personal receptionist for each list, and the practice employs a highly skilled team of Practice Nurses.

Alongside routine surgeries we run a Rapid Access Clinic catering for minor illness or urgent problems which need to be seen immediately.

We are fully computerised and regularly audit our work to ensure that we are delivering the best possible quality care at all times. With 150 years of continuous service behind us we have a lot to live up to, and a lot to be proud of.

When you wish to make an appointment we try to be as helpful and flexible as possible. We run an Advanced Access system which provides telephone advice or an appointment to see a healthcare professional on the day it is requested, either with your own doctor or in our Rapid Access Clinic.

For less urgent problems we reserve some appointments each day for patients to book up to several weeks in advance where that is more appropriate.

Our Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension,Asthma and Womens' Health Clinics run alongside routine surgeries. Patients with these conditions are seen and checked in these clinics at regular intervals. We also offer a Travel Advice Clinic, and a Drop-In Clinic for confidential advice on all aspects of contraception. We run a phlebotomy service, perform minor surgical procedures, and provide the full range of Adult and Child Immunisations.
